Hey there, friend —
If you’re anything like me, there was a time when I felt totally overwhelmed trying to figure out skincare. Serums, toners, acids, double cleansing, eye creams... it all felt like learning a new language.
But here’s what I’ve learned — you don’t have to know everything. You don’t need a 10-step routine or a science degree. You just need a few solid products that make your skin feel good and a little consistency. Even on days when I'm exhausted and don't want to add any more tasks to my to-do list I never skip my skincare routine. It's a ritual that I know I can commit to on a daily basis and makes me feel taken care of. It's non-negotiable.
So if you’ve ever felt stuck, confused, or like skincare just isn’t your thing, this is your friendly reminder: you can totally do this. Here’s my super simple, beginner-friendly routine that’s been working for me — no stress, no guesswork.
🧼 Step 1: Cleanse – Melt Away Cleansing Oil
At the end of the day, I just want to wash off the world — and Melt Away makes that feel like a treat instead of a chore. It’s a cleansing oil that revitalizes skin with nourishing oils which replenish moisture vital to vibrant skin. An important lipid-soluble Peptide, containing three Amino Acids, support the balance of moisture levels. Non-greasy yet supremely purifying, this unique cleanser rinses away makeup and impurities, leaving skin looking fresh and velvety smooth. Even if I wore no makeup, this makes my skin feel soft and clean. It’s honestly a small moment of peace after a busy day.
Pro tip: Massage for at least 1 minute to work the peptides into your skin before removing.
✨ Step 2: Treat – Cosmic Glow Micropolish
This little bottle makes me feel like I have my life together (even if I don’t). Cosmic Glow it offers pampering humectants derived from Organic Sunflower Oil and Wax elevated with Tocopherol (vitamin E) and nurturing botanicals. The unique texture of this polish provides gentle and uniform exfoliation without being overly aggressive. Fine Bamboo spheres encapsulated in a lush, paste refreshes the skin as it sweeps across the facial canvas. This polish is sure to be one of your favorites! Just a pea size amount is enough for gentle exfoliation. Mix it with Melt Away or use alone on damp skin with little-no pressure.
Pro tip: Use on body areas especially elbow, knees & feet in the shower or bath for a spa like experience.
🧴 Step 3: Restore & Hydrate – Calm Down Serum
Even if you do nothing else — please, please hydrate. It makes such a difference, especially if your skin feels dry or tight. Calm Down Serum fortifies skin against stresses that cause dry, irritated skin and can compromise the microbiome resulting in a loss of moisture equilibrium. This nourishing, soothing serum contains Arnica, Cucumber and Aloe Vera Extracts which work with your skin to restore its health and well-being. Recommended for those who are prone to sensitivity or acne. I use it every morning or when I need a little extra soothing comfort. It’s quick, easy, and is the perfect texture to quench your skin without feeling greasy.
🌿 Bonus Step (aka Skin SOS): Barrier Bliss Hydrating Mask
When my skin’s having a meltdown or just feeling stressed Barrier Bliss is my rescue remedy. This unique Gel-Mask that is a must have for use following in sunburns and office procedures such as lasers, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and waxing. This sensory mask nourishes and hydrates the skin. I use it 1-2 times per week after showering for 20 min as a mask or as an overnight mask as the last step on top of the rest of my skincare routine. It’s become my little “I care about myself” moment — even when I’m running on minimal sleep. This gel mask pairs perfectly with the LYMA Laser or the new LYMA Laser PRO for a deluxe at home treatment.
Pro tip: Keep it in the fridge for an extra soothing recovery especially during the hot summer months.
Final Thoughts: Keep It Simple, Keep It Kind
If you’re new to skincare or just figuring it out, let me remind you: you don’t have to be an expert to take care of your skin. Start small. Find what feels good. Keep it consistent.
This little routine has helped me feel more confident, more glowy, and more grounded — and if I can do it, truly anyone can.
So here’s to starting where you are, being kind to your skin, and remembering that even tiny moments of self-care can mean a lot.
You got this. 💜
